The "RollDown" does what it says.
The Billboard blocks the front screen for a few seconds.
Corner peel...
Floater to fixed: The motorbike is moving (and disappearing) into the fixed banner ad.
"In person", the gentleman in in the lower left corner walks off and reappears in a banner at the top of the page.

Media companies can outsource high-end custom design to the Online Ad Studio.

Created by Cox Ohio, the Online Ad Studio has hired internationally acclaimed designers, who are also certified in Yahoo! specifications. Custom ads can cost around $1000, so it's not for every client, but great to have if there is a large deal pending on creative services.

A sampler of ads built by Online Ad Studio includes exotics like the Carousel (images rotate in a circle), the Catalogue and Flip book (images can be flipped through) and several that drift across the page.

In one campaign a dirt bike revs across the page and disappears into the banner ad.

The In Person is also impressive, a good looking gentleman arrives at the bottom left corner of the screen, waves, walks off and then appears in the upper right ad unit, a video which the visitor can click to play.

All the ad types can be found here at http://www.coponlineadstudio.com/formats#

The key point is that any movement on the page will attract the eye. Like all ad design, this stuff requires judgement to avoid instant site abandonment.

Cox deserves kudos for getting in early and offering these great possibilities. Every media site should have selective access to this technology, and using Online Ad Studio, is a good way to put this in the tool box to use on a customer by customer basis.
